Can Christians fall away and be gone for good?

In Romans 8:30, Paul was absolutely confident about the certainty of the Christian's eternal salvation: "Whom he predestined, these he also called; and whom he called, these he also justified, and whom he justified, these he also glorified."

Like the Protestant Reformers of old who persevered until the end, we too should remember who we are as fellow saints and hold fast by abiding in Christ.
