GRASS is here to help you in your
first steps in the Scriptures!
GRASS is a series of lectures designed to give you an overview of each book of the Bible, starting from Genesis to Revelation.
These lectures are given by leaders of the church who are seasoned readers of the book they’re teaching and GRASS includes an introduction to the background of the book, an overview of the structure and flow of each book, ultimately leading to theological and practical applications. There’s also a question and answer section at the end if you have any burning questions.
You will leave each lecture with a basic grasp of the book and enough information to start diving deeper into the book yourself!

It's a shame we haven't been able to read the Bible like we should have for most of our Christian lives, catching up can be challenging.
GRASS not only follows through the Bible book by book, the contents were more than
introductory.
There's context, author intention, audience, themes, and most importantly biblical theology.
All of which makes us understand God's story better and prevents us from aisegeting with our flawed theology.

Last but not least, it's a sure way of preparing us for Sunday sermons. There have been so many instances we would not have appreciated the sermon if not for the GRASS sessions covering the same book. I think everyone should attend as much as they can. Even for books we thought we were familiar with, there's something new and something in our presuppositions that stands to be corrected. The help it does for your scripture reading far outweighs the time you commit for GRASS.
Also, during this season of pandemic, the weekly GRASS sessions help us to remind and encourage one another as husband and wife, to participate and enjoy dwelling under God's word for a night, and it became a weekly discipline exercise, which we think we will miss, when the GRASS series is finishing up soon.

I study the Scriptures to seek and know Jesus that I may abide in relationship with Him.
Through
lectures and Q&A, GRASS sessions provided me an opportunity to study the Old Testaments of the Bible
that I have neglected and thought were not important.
I also learned how to structure the verses in the book that I have no idea what structuring is before.
This gives me a better understanding of God’s word.
