For someone engaged in the study of the Scriptures, struggling with difficulties arising from the understanding of Scriptures is not uncommon.
Menno Simons was one such person. As one of the leaders of the Anabaptists, he went up against the Protestant and the Catholic church to fight for his beliefs regarding the Scriptures, yet along the way, made some compromises on the very thing he wanted to protect.
It is no trivial thing to interpret the Scriptures, as it is hard and requires years and years of work.
