Arrest and Abandonment - it's all going according to Plan (26:31-56)

Sunday, 24 November 2019 // Matthew

Description

It may be surprising to some that the central figure of Christianity is the same one that is arrested, mocked, spat on, abandoned, and ultimately crucified on the cross by His own people. But this is all actually according to God's plan. Why did Jesus, the begotten Son of God, have to die, you ask? Because God has shown Himself righteous. He has not pushed aside this reality of our sin. He has taken upon Himself the punishment of our sin. His own Son is this payment for our sins.
