The Gospel in Revelation

Sunday, 21 November 2021 // God's Story: New Testament

Description

Ever since the death and resurrection of Christ 2000 years ago, the church has been eagerly awaiting the Second Coming of Christ, where He will end the present age and establish His kingdom in a world made new.

The title 'Revelation' is a translation of the Greek word "apokalypsis" which means to uncover what has formerly been hidden. Though the apocalyptic language of Revelation makes it seem tough to understand, within it is the message that God has intended to reveal to His people, the Church.

However, prior to the Lord’s return, Revelation makes clear that forces of evil will grow stronger and the Church will suffer persecution far greater than before.

How can the Church continue to stay faithful in the last days, and conquer the final siege of the forces of evil?

Songs

Behold Our God; Hallelujah to the King of Kings; Maker of Heavens and Earth; One God; Jesus Is Lord
