Description
"... for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish." - Psalm 1:6
We live in a world where being good is expected. Many believe being righteous and just is important. And it is important, God Himself is a righteous, just and good God.
But every now and then, we hear of acts of injustice, hypocrisy and two-faced sin, even within the church, and we react in disgust, knowing instinctively that this is not what God expects of His people. Yet, how many times have you done the same and used "Christ's forgiveness" to get away with it?
In the Old Testament, walking in the way of the righteous meant following the Law. Now that Christ has fulfilled the Law through the cross, and we've been given His Spirit, what does that mean for Christian righteousness today? How should Christians walk in the way of the wise, and not the wicked; and can we even do so, while being in the flesh? What does it even mean to be the people of the new creation?
