Reading the Bible can be really complicated. 1 Timothy is no exception.
When we navigate through a difficult text like "...women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire," (1 Timothy 2:9), it is important that we know HOW to read them. But more importantly, why does Paul want the church to know these things?
